Clubnotes 26th May 2017   27/05/2017

The Lip Sync event takes place on July 1st and the official launch night will be held on Friday 2nd June at 9pm. We need a big turnout from all sections of the club to support those taking part and to learn how we can all play our bit in raising the money required to refurbish the all-weather pitch. If we don’t do the work very soon we’ll be forced to restrict or evenstop all use until the issues identified are rectified. It’s not all doom and gloom though, rumours are rife around the club that Liam Byrne will be doing aMiley Cyrus on the night and that Noel Craig is itching to do his Michael Jackson moonwalk.

The Bayside Community celebrates its 50th anniversary this Sunday with a gala day featuring all that’s good in the Bayside area. Naomh Barróg will be represented on the day and we’re looking for mentors of juvenile teams to arrange for a few of their players to turn up and help to promote the club.

The mentor’s meeting continues on Wednesday evening at 9pmand we really need every team to send a representative.

The club shop has been re-stocked with zip tops, tracksuits and other clothes and equipment.

Entertainment this Saturday is by the ever-popular East Coast, a band that always goes down well in the Áras.

The Summer Camps return on Monday 3rd July. But remember, FINAL date for registration is Saturday 24th June and there will be a late registration fee of €15 per child for registrations on the morning of the camp.

Mini Leagues continue on Saturday at 10am in Páirc Bharróg and the shop will be open. The weather forecast for tomorrow is leaning towards the damp side so keep an eye on the website, Facebook and twitter yokes for any last minute changes.

There was no winner of last night’s Lotto Jackpot; numbers drawn were 10, 12, 18 & 23. Next week’s Jackpot will be €3,000.

The club would like to convey its sincerest condolences to the family of Eddie Duggan on his passing today. Eddie was a strong hurling influence in the early days of the club and his influence is still felt by manyof our older players and mentors. Eddie will be reposing in Jennings Funeral Home on Monday between 5 and 8pm. Funeral mass on Tuesday in St. John The Evangelist church, Kilbarrack at 11am. Ár dheis Dé a raibh a anam dílis.
