Clubnotes 10th April 2017
Congratulations to the boys Féile team on making it to the Div. 2 Final with Clontarf on Sunday. They were able largely to hold their own but goals from Clontarf were the killer blows. Well done to the boys on a great effort and their management team on preparing them so well. Thanks to Clontarf for a well run Féile and to Raheny, Parnell’s and Fingallians for great games and congratulations to Clontarf on their deserved win.
We had great results as well for the adult ladies football and camogie teams, the ladies minor footballers and the senior and junior hurlers.
The Easter camogie/hurling camp starts next Tuesday. The ABSOLUTE FINAL day for registration is next Saturday 15th. The Registration Committee will be in attendance in the Áras from 10am till 12:00. Please don’t wait until the day of the camps, it’s unfair to the organisers, it slows down the whole process and makes it more difficult to organise because we don’t know what numbers will turn up.
The Lip Sync All-Weather Pitch Refurbishment fundraising event is gathering pace. We have a fantastic venue lined up in the Artane Beaumont Recreational Centre with the event taking place on 1st July. All enquiries to Sibéal Pepper 087 9136980 and Liam Byrne 087 7768756.
On Easter Monday we have a treat in store when local author Síle ‘SP’ McArdle brings the stage adaptation of her successful children’s adventure book 1916: The Red Letter Day, cleverly adapted to 1916: The Red Letter Play, to Áras Bharróg in a family event.
The Registration Committee have extended the membership fee payment deadline to the 30th April. Players are asked to liaise with either their Managers or the Registration Committee to resolve outstanding fees.
No Mini Leagues this week or next week due to Easter Camps.
There was no winner of last week’s Lotto Jackpot; numbers drawn were 6, 13, 20 & 23. This week’s Jackpot will be €1,600.
