Clubotes 8th MArch 2017   27/03/2017

Good luck to the Senior hurlers begin their adventure this Sunday in Tymon Park against Faughs at 10:30am and needless to say all support would be very welcome.

Entertainment in the Áras this weekend starts with garrison games the Rugby Spring Series featuring Ireland and Wales on the big screen and pints and peanuts at the bar, throw in at 8:00pm. The ‘live’ action continues with the wonderful Laurie Hartz afterwards with more pints and peanuts. On Saturday night we have more music, this time provided by Carl Phillips (not Carl Phillips the American poet, by the way).

The St. Patrick’s weekend will be buzzing with Celtic Storm on Paddy’s Day and The Band on Saturday night. And the best thing is, it’s all free!!!

Some pitches in St. Anne’s have been called off so check and make alternative arrangements if necessary. Páirc Bharróg and St. Fintan’s are also off, absolutely no training on either.

It’s getting closer! The hurling wall and training area are in the final stages of completion, as can be seen from the attached photo taken by our very own drone Noel Craig.

The Lip Sync Battle fundraiser will take place in June and we’re looking for contestants who think they have what it takes to impersonate their favourite artists.

The Ticket Book for the final Spring Series match on Saturday 25th March featuring Dublin and Roscommon is now in the bar in Áras Bharróg.

The re-scheduled AGM will be held on Tuesday March 28th at 7.30 in Áras Bharróg. Nominations and Motions may be left behind the Club bar or emailed to secretary.naomhbarrog.dublin@gaa.ie by 1st March 2017. Please contact the secretary by email with any queries you may have.

The uptake of membership fee payment by adult members is very low. Payment deadline is 31st of March and a ‘No Pay, No Play’ policy will be strictly enforced from then on, regardless of position in leagues, cups or Championship. Players will not be permitted on pitches after the deadline. The Registration Committee are available every Thursday evening 8.00pm - 10.00pm in the club.

The Mentor’s Meetings continue on Wednesday at 9pm and as usual ALL teams are asked to send a representative.

Mini Leagues continue at 10am on Saturday. There will be no Mini Leagues on 18th March due to something going on somewhere…

The club shop is open for business between 9:30am and 12:30pm on Saturday mornings.

There was no winner of last night’s Lotto; numbers drawn were 2, 5, 10 & 20. This week’s Jackpot will be €2,600.
